Hey out there,

I`ve been an avid listener of Startup nation on itunes for some time now, but have just made the move to actually join.  I started a small business almost 1.5 ago, but haven`t done much with it.  It`s an online business, and I`ve just recently started.  I`m here for motivation and to find information.

So check out my site(s) and let me know what you think.
thanks,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer :-) welcome to the forums....

I looked at your site, and think you`ve got a nifty gimmick there. You definitely should take another look at investing some serious time and energy. After all, anger-management is SUCH a buzzword these days! LOL!!

You`ve got 1 major typo you can quickly fix:
Currently: Check back ofter to see what we`re up to.
Should be: Check back often to see what we`re up to.

What I`m seeing is that the domain name and company name are excellent! However, they imply a combination of angry chix and an underlying humor. I figured I`d see one of those squeeze toys, where you squeeze the little person and the eyes, nose, and ears pop out. I saw the image of the little green fella, but there isn`t enough text or video to show if it`s the same concept.

Next, you have lots of room for stories about pissed off moms, girlfriends, dates, and fiances. BUT!...if you really want the site to work, I think you should approach it as a humor site---irony---not just angry rants, y`know?

If you examine comedy, you`ll see that most often it`s about pain, sadness, and anger. Too many comedians get burnt out because they never get a handle on their anger. George Carlin comes to mind. Your site has that subtle danger, but if you`re clearly aware of the line, you should do very well.

I`d suggest you sit down and write out a sort of essay of what it is about anger and being a "chick" that came together to produce the inspiration of the business. Then, read over what you`ve written and turn it into an outline. Take the outline and see if you can "stretch" it to fit into standard templates for business plans.

What I think you`ll see is that you can join written content, anecdotes, and perhaps even a forum, with some really excellent products. Tee shirts alone won`t be enough to differentiate you. It`s not the tee shirts---it`s the anger.

You`ve got room to be politically incorrect, offensive to women`s groups, and all sorts of avenues to become visible and noticed. As long as you keep the humor fairly evident, it could work. :-)

Welcome aboard, Jennifer!

I love your tag line: x marks the spot.

I have to agree with Craig. Comedy/irony would really add to your site.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and advice.  I`ve been hesitant to go out into the world and try and sell my stuff.  I have been thinking of some of the things mentioned so at least my head is in the right place, I just have to get out there and do it now.
