Hello everyone, thanks for checking in on this post. Any thoughts/ideas/feedback are welcomed. Here is my problem, hopefully you guys can get me pointed in the right direction to offer the consumers up here the solution:

From Canada, travels occasionally to the USA and have noticed an astounding difference in the variety of merchandise readily available for consumption. To put it bluntly, walk into a sneaker store in Canada and see row after row of the same shoe, but with different laces (if your lucky). Walk into a store in the USA, and the difference is staggering. Also, Canada seems to be a few months behind with every "new" release (regardless of product).

Im basically looking for a way to bridge this gap with a website (or whatever works). Lets stick with the sneaker analogy and say I would really love to be able to provide the newest releases of shoes when they are actually new.

Is it possible to get vendors to sell there wares on my site? Am I overreaching thinking that I can snare some big game (nike, adidas, run athletics, etc)?

Would I have to go the wholesale route?

Help!

Thanks all

I think it would be possible but I don`t think focussing solely on Canada would bring in enough business. For this sort of business model, there are people all over the world who want the kind of sneakers you can buy in America. I`d aim a bit bigger, but still put a lot of focus onto generating business in Canada, too.

You should start a blog on the latest sneakers now. You might take a look at some sneaker affiliate programs. I don`t know if this option would be better than shipping the sneakers yourself. However, it may be better to start with affiliate programs in order to generate some cash without putting a whole lot of money down at the beginning.

Agreed with an above post: Don`t focus solely on Canada.

Internet businesses have the potential to reach An Entire World!!!

The main problem, one that will soon bridge that gap, is the difference between free-market capitalism in the US, versus government regulated markets in Canada.

With the US moving at break-neck speed toward socialism, you`ll soon find that there are as few product choices here in the US as there are in Canada.
