I think Nikole has a good point about getting help.  How about hiring ghost writers to do some work for you?  Part of your deal with them is that you are the frontman, the crazyman of the blog.  They don`t get any recognition and they have to sign a contract of non-disclosure.  But they get some Benjamins.

And for the record, I think you are nuts to try this alone.  Since you are married, I`d think twice or at least REALLY discuss it with your wife.  (One cause that lead to my failed marriage was that her long working hours kept us from having a life together.)  I`m not saying it can`t be done.  In fact, I like wacky ideas like this!

Hey, I know a guy who is trying to draw and sell one million doodles for a dollar each.  He doesn`t update his blog much which is lame but he got 20,000 requests in the first several months.  Impressive!  I bought a doodle, #1567.

Wow that guy is good! He has an actual product to sell, I have a gimmick.
Actually I would have "handlers" who would be around to handle things such as receiving the thousands of emails and requests from sponsors. I would have to be fed those. If I had to stop and read emails or requests I wouldn`t make it. My wife is a stay at home mom so she would be here anyway. Also, I think the idea of one man`s constant thoughts being blogged for one solid year is a better selling point than a really fast typist. Don`t you?

No, actually.... :-) Most people`s thoughts, on a daily basis, are just drivel and blather. By the time they get around to speaking, they`ve usually honed the thoughts down to something understandable, and perhaps interesting.

Ah....but TV isn`t the same as reading words on a screen. Otherwise, drivel-and-blather Novels would also sell!! Hm....waiddaminnitt....there are those romance novels......

If you`re really serious about it, I think you`d do great.  But hey, you need to make sure you register the domain name millionpostblog.com before someone else takes it.  Its still available as we speak.

I think it is very clever. 18 hours a day, maybe a bit much. You might
want to start with 7 or 8 hours and see from there how it goes. For me, as a
start up, and with little monty, $1.00 per post would be a great deal. Good
Luck and I would be interested once my new and revamped site launches
and I start working p/t again.

I love the idea. It is very "purple cow" (great marketing book by Seth Godin).  You should do it alone - the craziness is the amaziness (lame attempt at a catchy rhyme).  1M posts by 50 people or the like is already being done - that`s called an active blog.

It is the story behind the blog, that makes it unique.  I suggest the preparation you do is PR. Have your press releases ready, have the numbers of local news and local papers ready, etc.  The second you get rolling, start the PR campaign. If you get good PR, your value will increase. The final spot may be worth $50,000 or more - if you have GREAT PR.
