Hello to all who read this..

My name is Chad and I am new to startupnation. I have several ideas for new and existing products to improve upon, but quite frankly even if I had the credit or the money to fund them myself, I don`t have the inclination to take on that headache, but I was wondering if there were resources out there that someone may know of that would be interested in hearing about them? And of course, small compensation would be nice if they decided to go with one or more of these ideas. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate it. Have a nice day  :)

Your best bet probably would be a blog, perhaps focused on how to change existing things with different or better ideas. Unfortunately, there are so many ideas flying around everywhere, that nobody really cares all that much about particular ideas in only that form....the idea form.

Instead, people are working on implementing their own ideas, or a company has a product and likely already has thought of the modification (and it`s in the works), thought of it and rejected it for business reasons, or they won`t take your thoughts because they don`t want to get into licensing issues.

All in all, unless you want to work out the idea yourself, or develop prototypes or market feasibility, it`s likely going to be an uphill battle to do this.

I appreciate your honesty. But I`m sure there is someone out there that wants ideas/good ideas and would be willing to do something about it. Any other comments are welcomed  :)

I think Craig is right, you`re going to have a hard time finding people to shell out cash for ideas that have no prototypes, examples, proposals, or anything. At the very least you should have some schematic drawings, a couple white papers, and a patent pending or two. Even then you`re still going to have a hard time.

But if you really wanted to ask around, you could try tracking down some VC firms and/or angel investor groups in your area. Another option might be entrepreneur or tech-biz clubs at a local college or university. You do know you run the risk of having someone just steal your ides outright though without some kind of intellectual property protection, right?

Hi all,

You can also get into patent right problems trying sell a modification to an existing product.  Unless your concept represent a substantial change to an existing product that someone could patent, it has little market value.

Therefore, the best companies to contact are the companies that created the existing product.
