Hi fellow SuN members!

I need to get my site out into the mainstream and capitalize on this years holiday season. Does anyone know any publications or newsletters announcing new sites?

I am in the process of developing e-blast flyers, but would like to do a PR campaign and  get listed in various publications.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Jack

Huh? You are a promotions company asking for how to promote? This is just spam, isn`t it?

Angola is right on the money...  you sell "swag" and you`re asking for promo advice?  Anyway, optimizing your website for search engines is probably the first step.  Followed by Google Ads on key sites for companies that are purchasing promo items.

Also, I didn`t see the affiliation with the Direct Marketing Association on your website, are you a member?  A membership in the DMA or similar organizations can be very powerful.  Tradeshow industry association is another good affiliation to have.

I agree with search engine optimization. I would also do Google Adwords Pay-Per-Click (PPC) program. However, if you do not know how to do this properly you will waste a lot of money and a lot of time and could possibly get yourself black-listed from the search engines all together.

Although I do not do SEO and PPC myself, I have worked with a team of the best and brightest in the industry. I mean they are truly phenomenal and get great conversion results. You will be pleased with your ROI with them.

Once I visited your site, I realized that you do not necessarily do the "trash and trinkets" promos. So your market is a little different than I originally thought. So my suggestion is to advertise in key newsletters for Human Resource Directors, CEOs and Managers. If you continue to do email marketing, select a specifically targeted list (preferably opt-in lists).

PR is not a bad idea, but you may want to use a distribution tool to reach the outerbounds. I have used www.ereleases.com in the past with good results.

I don`t know of any publication that lists new sites on the web, but I would imagine that would not be as effective as you may think...it just lumps you in with a large group and requires the reader to pick you from the crowd.

Good Luck,
Amy

Thank you Amy! You got it! And I thank you for your input.

The rest of you guys are funny! I do know how to promote! I need help in the PR aspect. I`m looking for media venues that introduce and mention new web-sites. Similar to a new products listing.

Regards,

Guys don’t be so quick to jump on people... The guy sells promotion PRODUCTS, high-end items with a company brand.

Very nice ones at that.  I may make a purchase from you!  LOL

This said, you should be using a clickable link in your signature.  Any opportunity for exposure to the spiders should be used.

I noticed you`ve not taken advantage of your `alt` tags on your site.  You have many graphics on your site.  `alt` tags are how the search engines `see` your images.  Fill those out with keywords.    You can take advantage of google click ads, and your type of business is great for direct mail, and your niche is a refreshing one.  You have great prices on better products.

I`d get a nice mail piece sent soon!  Let me know if I can be of help!
