SoulStar,
Congratulations on ALL that you have accomplished. Terrific job!
In general, there are (may be) a number of viable methods for bringing capital into your business. We`ve found that the first key to a successful capital acquisition is to determine your optimum strategy (method/approach).
The second key is to be fully Capital Ready (according to the selected method) before approaching the capital source.
The third key is that the "how" is as important as the where.
I know this isn`t as specific as you would want but if you would like to discuss your situation (in confidence) send me a PM or contact me directly.
SoulStar,
Being ready for capital and being Capital Ready are two different things. I`m sure you have a great business plan - but that is only one part of the equation.
As I said before – the “how” is as much a factor as the who or where. How is a combination of skills and process. A portion of the process should be getting you to the "who".
I think what Robert is trying to say is that making a successful foray into the capital markets requires just as much solid strategic planning, preparation, and execution as developing viable products that will serve as the foundation for your business.
The mere idea of simply signing up with some sort of website that will float your request “to thousands of quality investors who are ready to invest” is simply pie in the sky and won’t yield the desired results, at least not for you as the subscriber to these sites.
What may work is (i) having a quality business plan in place, (ii) an investable team, and (iii) a line up of products and services with a demonstrated demand, which seems to be the case here.
In order to be able to capitalize on such an initial positioning, as far as the actual capital raising process is concerned, you will (i) need to identify investors who are most likely to respond to an offering such as yours (you seem to have created a great starting point here as well), (ii) create a quality offering the terms and conditions of which are in line with the expectations of such investors, and (iii) offering a viable and lucrative exit scenario to investors.
If you got your ducks lined up like this, and if you are aware of the serious commitment such a financing strategy entails, you have a good chance to achieve your strategic business objectives.
