Have you checked with the Economic Development Commission (EDC) that serves your area? Many Texas towns/cities have an additional sales tax, the proceeds of which are to be used to support new businesses in the area that provide local employment. The one I am familiar with provides no-interest loans, some of which can even be forgiven if the employment targets are met.

Best regards,

Molly Donaldson

It appears you're just gonna' be buying yourself a job. An expensive job!

With the economy so bad you should be able to find a location to lease with the option to walk away. Hmm... The property owner should be thankful just to have someone interested.

How much $ do you have to put in?  You are going to have to come up with something (even if from friend, family) before others and/or banks are going to jump onboard.
