Wow, I`ve been out of the loop.  Would this explain why it seems like we`ve had a 30-40% drop in traffic?  Or have we really?  Is there a link to further explain the google analytics code change and what we need to do to update?

One has to wonder, has the number really dropped, or has the accuracy of counting improved?

We didn`t have an actual drop in traffic, only a change in the *reports* of how much traffic we have. After we updated the analytics, we were back to our regular traffic flow, but we got more concise reports.

I have to agree that Google is getting too big for its britches.  That said when you`re trying to get found on the web, you have to go with what works - at least until the competition catches up.  I plan to use ALL the resources including the competition.

I suppose this is like saying America is getting too big for its britches. I`ve found that people who think this usually are envious of success, and want to pass laws to take from the successful, and give (free) to the unsuccessful. I don`t buy it.

What you`ve "found" does not apply all the time apparently.  I`m not into the Robin Hood strategy.

I guess they annoy me when they keep uping the ante on Google Adwords in particular.  You can never count on them to really support your business for more than about a day.  But then again this is a capitalist country, and I am a business owner too...

I do try to be more sensitive to my customers since I`m a "little guy" compared to Google`s business.
