Roland, once again you`ve provided a terrific bit of help! I was
curious and went to check out the text-only cache on our Web site. I
never thought of that, didn`t know how it worked, and so forth.
What I noticed immediately was that in place of any graphic images, I
had ONLY the "Alt=" tags. I`d put in good keywords on most of them, but
not all, and wouldn`t have noticed the "overview" this way! I also saw
that what I was using for key phrases was a bit out of date. We`ve
found a couple of better ones since the last crawl (May 6). So I
changed them, filled in alt-text on a missing line, and put in the new
key phrases.
I can preview a page, see it online, and of course IF I click an image,
quickly see the alt-text. But the text-only cache gives me a fast
overview. So....is there a way on a browser to "turn off" images
temporarily?
