Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know of a good marketing/advertising firm that can help me market and promote a clothing line?  Are there marketing firms out there that are industry specific?

I need help with a promotional package, stationery, web design, and trade show display.  Would a marketing firm do any or all of this?

Thanks  for your help in advance,
DayDreamer (In Action)

Hi DayDreamer,

There are many advertising and marketing companies that can help you with all aspects of your marketing and publicity activities. However, just a note of caution - Be sure you conduct some research before hiring anyone.

You`ll want to review your goals for marketing activities and your budget. Then, you`ll have a much better chance of finding the right person who can help you accomplish your goals within your budget.

Hope this helps,
Melanie

Daydreamer,

I have a small marketing company, but we focus on online marketing as well as design.

There are tons of industry specific marketing firms, but like Melanie above stated, be careful. So many companies will take your money and do very little real work.  Especially when it comes to web design and stuff like that.

Your best bet would be to hire a graphic designer/web designer which would help with all the other stuff, and do the tradeshow setup based off the graphics. It`s going to be much more costly to find a company that does it all.

Hello Daydreamer,

It sounds as if you need strong basic marketing. Do you have a marketing plan? I would spend time writing that up, even if it is for my own knowledge, before looking for logos, vendors, etc. Even though it may feel silly to write up such a plan during the startup phase, it can help guide your choices as you review agencies and concepts.

Just a thought from one who started her own online business - and who now runs a consulting agency!

Day dreamer, one thing I learned over the years is one, you get what you pay for, get references and do your due diligence..remember a one man show can not handle all your various needs but a larger firm may. This is your business, take it very serious and talk to people who are serious about what they do and get results.

Hi DayDreamer,
I wanted to let you know that I do in fact own a promotional and marketing firm that helps a lot of businesses, like yourself, increase booth traffic at the trade shows, create a new impression with your logo or a message, introduce new product/service, enhance your image, increase your exposure, reach new audience, and make a long-lasting statement.  On our website we have listed a little over 500,000 that you can use to your advantage, but don`t start there.  I would suggest you contact me through my email (llosich@everlastingpromotionsinc.com) for help, consultation or an advice so that I can help you make the right decision on what to do for the things that you have coming up.  I will save you time and money, that is a guarantee.

I`d recommend a brick and mortar look.  No offense to startupnation.com but there`s a lot of phising going on.  Too many inexperienced begging for work and hoping to land something.  If you`re going to be successful, you`re going to need someone with experience in all areas...  Web design isn`t your focus.  If the company isn`t great with it and doesn`t specialize in it, they`ll let you know - and they`ll probably refer you.  Or they`ll probably outsource it, and you`ll never know.

Do your research, and get what you need done.  Like mentioned above - you get what you pay for.  Don`t cut corners.  Do it right.
