Thank you for the link blondieblue.... much appreciated.

This site is done with Apple Cart. Do you have any experience with Apple Cart. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks again :)

Check your Private Messages ... the email addie is the person to contact re: use of the AppleCart system. Also, why not contact Beth Downey at Boxerhaus.com?

You can go about this in a variety of ways ...

If your selection is small and customization is key, build your own.

ZenCart - better for larger selection, but still would require a high amount of customization to be done right for your product.

Keep your customer in mind - this is a high-end product and shortcuts (confusing shopping experience, low quality graphics, canned-looking programming) will be translated into an opinion of a poor-quality product.

Thanks for the advice nhgnikole.

I do view our products as high quality in that we use very expensive, top quality paper and same with all the other supplies that go into our product.

That being said, can you, or anyone, recommend what we should use to produce high quality images on our ebay store as well as our web site?

Thanks again.

Gee, and poor little AppleCart, http://applecart.info , does it so well.

You would want to customizing any ecomerce soluton...so it has a unique look andfeel.

As for images, a good quality digital camera will work. Remember, eventhough you photo may have a high number of pixels/in the viewer`s computer screen may or may not accomodate that level of resolution

Thanks for the photo tip vwwebworld. My only digicam is a fairly old 5 megapixle. Do you think that would suffice. I plan to build a hand-made studio for the product pics.

Yes, 5 megapix should be fine.

Good, balanced / non-glare lighting is important

Take a look at Mal`s [ mals-e.com ] which has free and paid versions. It is quite versatile and may do the trick. Best wishes on your new venture!

Maybe a dumb question, but is OSCommerce and ZenCart basically the same program? Looks like it after downloading and testing both of them.

And is one better than the other?

Yes they have the same roots... Zen Cart grew out of osCommerce, and still share some basic php code.

However, at this point Zen Cart is better. They are now more CSS driven and have feature included that you have to add a "contributition" (module/script) to osCommerce to accomplish.
