I have been involved in seo for last six months and trying hard to learn and explore this field. I have noticed that different people give different view regarding any technical issue in seo and i get confuse and don't know what whether i am getting right knowledge. Even experts on different forums sometimes give different and controversial opinion.

i talk about SEO quite extensively on my blog. it is how i have been able to build and grow several niche websites that are all profitable month after month. without sound SEO, all marketing efforts are short term in nature (not sustainable)!

You should refer seo related blogs like Mattcutts, Googleblog to gain knowledge. In forums you will see the people are having different opinion on the same topic and you will be confused. It is better to stay away from forums until you become expert.
