I live in a medium size town plenty of  Fast food, retail,Services,ECT and No digital bill boards only regular billboards and they all have a waiting list so im guessing a digital billboard would be a great business to start so im planning on putting one on the busiest street in town  and i only want to sell 24 slots for the 24 hours of the day for the 365 days of the year that is 365 hours total for all 24 clients But i don`t know what to charge i was thinking $60 an hour but some people say thats too much and i still don`t know if should charge for the ads created and i cant find info on how much other digital billboards charge for that so if  any can help

other pricing options

Hour Price            Total Hours            Total Cost Yearly

$10                          365                          3,650
$15                          365                          5,475
$20                          365                          7,300
$25                          365                          9,125
$30                          365                          10,950
$60                          365                           21,900

I just have to say that after working in advertising... the best way to alienate your clients is to charge them more for the same thing than somone else.

I`m sorry but I am a firm believer that this is NOT good business.  you COULD charge different amounts for different times of day, but, there needs to be a quantitative reason for the price difference.

you mean Charge $60 per hour in the afternoon or when theirs the most traffic and charge less when there less traffic like at 3:00 am

and also what about for creating the ads

yes... that`s what I mean.  Are you a graphic designer?  If not I would have them make their own and submit them to you...

I would really encourage you to NOT try designing your own ads if you`re not an experience ad designer.

I don`t think you will be able to find a standard cost for hour to benchmark against.  I think a lot of it is driven by the location.  Higher traffic volumes yield higher fees to companies advertising.  Also, I agree with abrumms.  Just because a client can afford to pay more does not mean that they should.  Personally, I would never advertise with a company that charges me more than another company receiving the same service.

What are the statistics regarding increased traffic accidents due to drivers being distracted by digital billboards?

I hate those things.
