CraigL,

Not sure if I understood your first comment. Would you refresh the page to show current changes?

This is only a draft page, so haven`t engaged my links yet, and still working on my drop down menu at the top.

Since I have changed my both vertical & horizontal menus, I will need to update all other pages so I am uniform throughout. Not sure how to tackle that. Maybe stating "renovations are being done to improve your shopping experience"  on the front page, &
disengage links (as they are now).  Then redo the previous look to the new......all on Dial Up!!!!  Yuck that Sucks, however no other options in my area.

Since I am low on the totem pole, and no glimmer of a Page Rank, this is the best time to do this. No one will know I had a "before" & "after",  and that`s good.

Thanks for your "Ah Hah!" and help.

Linda

Linda, I`m suggesting that you brighten up the "font color" for the tag line. If you use the same color as in the referenced menu box, it`ll be a sort of ivory or off-white, and will stand out a lot better up there at the top of the page. The "RGB" is the Red, Green, Blue color number. Same with the HEX number for that particular color.

I took a screen capture of the page and then an eye-dropper and grabbed the actual color number so you`d be able to use it.

Sorry about not remembering this is still a draft, hence the missing links. :-) But the overall layout and theme are definitely a lot better than what you started with.

Well, I have gotten carried away, and now back to something more simple.

I apologize for my ongoing nonsense, but am striving for perfection, however I need to know when to stop playing.

My other on was just getting too busy. I would really like to know what you think about this one.    http://www.thepicklepatch.net/WebPages/test2_index.html

I think all of your suggestions have been great, and would like to hear from you again.

Thank you so much for all your help. Linda

Shoot... I thought that lighter color would work for the tag line, but now it sort of fades into the gray. Hmm.....looks like you`ll do better putting it back to the same font color as "The Pickle Patch."

Oh well....it was a thought. :-) My intent was get the tag-line showing brightly, capture the eye right away, and set up the viewer`s mental connection with you and your site.

CraigL,

I am stuck with your idea and want to keep it, so plumped up the lettering a bit.
