I am looking for a web designer to creater a simple site. I own the domain and use a bigcartel.com store for my shopping cart. I want to have a home page with general info so I SEO the site. big cartel does not have those features but is a decent cart. The home page will have a sotre tab that links to the cart and another for a blog. Can use wordpress or whatever works easiest. What I need is nothing fancy, justsomebody who can design a decent page and link all of this together for me. My price range is $500.

If you have a design/web company and are interested in this please email me at gr9719@hotmail.com with your company info, website and sample websites you have designed.

Thanks

Saw your site is all setup now. What a great idea for a service... well done and good luck. No doubt there is a market for your service with so many trying to launch new businesses and take advantage of lower cost tools and services.

There are many companies online that will provide you with great web designs at a good cost. If you know what you want and whether you'd like a template design or custom design the process will be even easier. I outsourced my design through a few freelancing sites and the results were better and cheaper.

Hope you can find a designer and get your website going soon.

I seemed to have got a 404 error when I clicked on the blog link in your signature, so I'm not sure if that's your site or not.

Anyway, my personal opinion is to steer clear of sites that offer contests or freelancers at ridiculous prices. Reason being is because a lot of these people doing the low-cost projects are not actually making money when you calculate the fee they are paid divided by the hours that they've worked.

Seeking out a professional designer and/or firm is a much better way to go in my opinion because you're paying for professional work and not taking advantage of someone who thinks they're making money when they're not.

I agree with Chris 100%. These sites seem to be popping up everywhere, but coming down just as quickly for the many scams out there. You need to be very careful with such sites.

With the amount of businesses you could startup online consider taking the route of product/services and in some instances... information sites with memberships. The options are endless so don't get pinged as a scam site, it isn't a good route to take.

Be extremely careful with freeelance sites and contest sites. If you were to look into one of those sites, I would stick to some of the trusted ones like elance.com or guru.com.

Hi

If you're after a simple, clean and great looking website, make sure you have a look at Media Web Factory (http://www.mediawebfactory.com.au). Their designs look great and fit in the price range.
