I have a new business I am starting with a partner/ investor. It will be an LLC. What we need is a business consultant to sit with us to come up with & write an operating agreement between us. We have some basic things that we know we want but there may be some things that we are missing since we do not even know what an operating agreement should include. We prefer at this time to hire someone rather than scouring the internet for free templates to copy. We would like this person to have experience with internet start-ups & who was/ is an entrepreneur as well. We would like someone to be local to us in Los Angeles. Any help? Thanks in advance!

Do you meant a business consultant or a lawyer?  A business consultant may help you with flagging issues and concerns for the operating agreement, but  he/she probably wouldn`t be qualified to draft the agreement itself.

Yes I mean business consultant. We don`t have the money to spend on a lawyer. A qualified & experience business consultant who has experience with writing operating agreements should be able to write something that would be legally sound. Anyone?

I`m sorry, but if you can`t afford a lawyer to deal with drawing up this agreement you probably will need a lawyer to unravel it once it falls apart. Don`t try to cut corners like this, it`s not in your best interest.

I can help offer you some help on the legal end if you are interested.
