Hello All -
I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.  I have quite a few ideas for a business, am burnt out in my technology career and did the "life plan" which really revealed some things to me and what I need the most is a business coach/mentor to bounce ideas around, etc. Does anyone know of such services or people that do this?

Thanks!!!

Shane;
If I were in your shoes (and I was not so long ago) I`d suggest that you have an environment right here to sound out ideas. this community is an awesome resource and many are people that may just be a few months or years ahead of you, they know what you are feeling, they have lived through the pain and are willing to share their experience with you for free.
Just reach out you will get top quality help, and guidance from this community.
other resources contact "Score", get an advisor it`s free and oh so helpful.

Hi Shane,
You can try and seek out professional advice from a `business coach`, but the advice is not cheap.Furthermore, you want to make sure that the coach has experience with independent entrepreneurs. I agree with Stan, why not try out your ideas on us. After all, I believe that all of us have been in your shoes at some point in our lives. Put it out there, you have nothing to lose.
I look forward to reading your ideas.

I have been working toward building my business for a year now. One resource that I`ve found to be extremely powerful is John Assaraf`s OneCoach Business Insights blog. The content is so positive, even in these poor economic times, and very helpful to my small business needs. Here`s the site: http://blog.onecoach.com. Enjoy!

Look into SCORE (Senior Corps of Retired Executives).

I believe the site is SCORE.gov
