I haven`t been able to visit SUN lately - been really busy.  I have finally taken my writing another step and started a company with some fellow copywriters.  We are finalizing our design, trying to make sure that everything looks great, reads great ...Yada Yada.

I wanted to get some opinions on the site, the service, and whatever else you guys feel might be useful.  Here`s a bit about what the company does so you can have some background.

We`re a unique content company which provides several types of service, from original articles to unique website content, press releases, etc.  We provide these services in two ways - either you show up on the site, order a project and pay .30 a word flat fee or...

You can join and become a VIP member where you get loads of benefits.  Ex. .20 a word...You can choose which writer does your project for you, you get discounts for many different things AND we submit your articles to article marketing directories for you.  This is the site -

What do you guys think of the clarity of the site, as far as what is offered.  Also, the look of the site, the services offered, etc?  I know you guys have some great ideas and wanted to find out your opinions.  Thanks a ton - oh, and take it easy on us...

Note:  The site is still under construction as well...

Hey there :-) I took a look at the site and have a few comments. Of course.

The banner up at the top is pretty large, wouldn`t you say? On my 19" monitor, it takes about a quarter of the screen. On a 17" monitor, I`m thinking it`d take up almost half the screen real estate. That means....scrolling.

I know a lot of people have their ideas about color schemes, so I`ll just say that I found it hard to see the various team names and featured services, with the low-contrast black (?) on orange. Same with the dark blue on light blue of the banner

Finally, based on our own growing education and experience, I`m really becoming an advocate of headings and bullet points---headings for sure, if the bullet points aren`t easy to come up with. I think more and more people tend to come to a site and skim down the page. The large headings should be a simple outline on each page, telling the complete story without needing the content.

You have your big banner with "Priceless Writers," then your first heading is... Priceless Writers. Why not have the heading start the sales process? You could remove the first sentence, and instead, make your heading:

Content is King!

Then you could start the paragraphs with "We`re a copywriting company that delivers results!" That immediately talks about what you offer (the results), right?

------
The above is 234 words @ .30/word = $70. I can invoice you through PayPal, or you can send gold or silver coins care of Startup Nation.

Oooh..those are some great ideas Craig.  I totally agree about the banner.  We`re actually working on an image to place there rather than just having the blue.  (And we`re going to shorten it if I have to bribe our partner/designer.) hehe  I also like the bullet points - we didn`t use `Content is King` because while we were researching we found a gazillion sites that said that! LOL

Thanks for the criticism though - I am going to pass this along to my partners...it`s important to know how things look to an outsider as we`ve all been eating, sleeping and breathing this site for so long now!

The colors and their text aren`t great together, as Craig said. And the logo doesn`t match anything else in the site.

The large orange buttons do nothing for the page.

The main area and right column are too removed from each other; a distinct separation is needed, but in this case they look totally alienated, partly due to the horizontal orange bars, and the space between them. And it looks like the top menu is the same way; distanced from the left side of the header. The layout just doesn`t work.

The 2 right menus are confusing. The first menu with the names are links, which are fine. The second menu makes a visitor logically think, if they`ve clicked names int he first menu, that this area is also links, but they aren`t and they should be so that you can give more information on each item listed there. Then you click the "And much more" line, which is a link, and now you get a page of your services. To me, it just seems confusing the way you have it set up.

The FAQ rating system is a neat twist, but I`m not sure how often people rate questions/answers in them.

Looking at your source code, this is a Wordpress program?

Hi Weblink - thanks for the comments.  I guess I should have clarified - we`re not completely done with the site yet.  For instance, the ratings are being taken out...and some of the other things you mentioned are on the agenda to be finished as well.

But thanks anyway!

You Rock, Craig! LOL!

I think the  website is coming along great. I agree about the top banner. I have always gone with the theory that if the user has to scroll too much, the page format needs to be changed. The colors are a bit "ouchy" on the eyes. Mostly the orange. My opinion is that you don`t want the colors to scream at the viewer, because then they don`t see the content.

Keep up the great work!
