Note sure if I am supposed to post this here - but we`ll see. I have a site to build and I`m looking for a programmer or team to assist. The specs are below, including contact info. Thanks!

We are seeking a qualified US professional programmer or team (none overseas, please) to assist with the selection, installation, modification and programming of a PHP, Mysql social networking site with the following features:

1. Community Interaction modules, including forums, chat, IM (optional)
2. Great member profiles that can be switched from "see my profile" to "anonymous" as needed by the member
3. Ad management software (like adman) that is self-service to advertisers - includes text banners & rich media - that includes setting prices for clicks or impressions and a cc processing system to charge credit cards, selection of banner/ad placement into the forum categories and subcategories and in other places on the site.
4. Some CMS to manage general pages like home, about, etc.
5. News, including importing RSS feeds and posting community news
6. Blogs (multiple) and articles posting from admin / subadmin - include blog import from participating professional members
7. Good backend admin to manage content, posts, view revenue from ad module

Site can be based on existing community software platform, but modified to fit our needs - include design customization for up to 10 different pages to make the site consistent and attractive. We have completed the design and are looking for integration of our design into a platform.

This site will be cloned twice for 3 different, but congruent sites - so some skinning of colors, logos and such will also be required.

We expect this site to have up and perhaps over 1,000,000 members (if we`re lucky) so platform stability is very important for high volume.

In your proposal include recommended platform and platform costs, including modules needed and cost, hourly rates and include a contingency of 10% for modifications along the way.

Although I have set the budget at "more than $1000" I don`t expect it to be much more than $1000- $1500 unless you can convince us that the spending of additional funds will be worth it.

For more information, you may contact me at inquiry - at - ideas4.com.

LOL -  all of the functionality is built into existing social networking software (except the advertising module - which amazes me) - so it isn`t as difficult or complicated as it may seem. The most difficult part is injecting the advertising module into the existing CMS system and skinning it  and it`s basically done.

I actually found 2 pretty good programmer teams to bid to that number - I`ll let you know how it goes - in fact one of my goals is to have everyone critique it when it`s done before we launch - so I`ll post the url when we are almost ready.

ideas4,

I`m inclined to agree with RabbitMountain.  If you want all of that built from scratch, $1500 seems ludicrous.  Is sweat equity an option?

I wish you the best of luck and I anticipate seeing the results.
