Watson75,
What is your domain name? Let me check your whois information.
I may be able to help you. Here is what I can do for you, "If you are the domain name owner and hopefully its under your name. What I can do is transfer it to my server for you. I`m an accredited ICANN domain name registrar.. So we can transfer it over and then I will give you your login information so you can have full access to your domain name.

Just a thought. If it is showing up as bulkregister.com then they should have provided you with a login. The implications that may people don`t understand is when they see the "Register your name for free" on some web hosts. Basically what they do is register it for you, make you pay the fee but they manage the domain name for you. This is not good. If you register the domain name it should show on the WhoIs Database with your information, not someone elses. Unless you paid for the anonymous registrant fee. Which I offer you, the only diffrence is it`s not registered to the company rather it does not show your information.

Thank you very much for your help. Although I`m not sure that we`re on the same page. Maybe you misunderstood me, or I am misunderstanding you. I don`t actually own the domain name at this time. I am trying to acquire it. It looks as though there`s an operational advertising site in some form on the domain name already, and when I did a "whois" search--I guess you would call it-- via godaddy it said that the domain name was registered under bulkregister.com. No name, no contact information, no nothing. I don`t actually own the name, although that`s what I`m looking to accomplish. Is what you explained still relevent in this situation? Maybe you can still help me. Thanks again.

Hi everyone. Ok, here`s the deal. I believe I`m ready to register a name for the website. I thought of it last night. It`s extremely similar to the one I already had in mind, but I believe even better in  a couple ways. So as far as registering the name goes, what site would you all recommend to register with, or will it really make a difference? I was looking at godaddy, network solutions, among others. Thanks you all.

I would recommend you sit down with an attorney and have him/her draft a creative protection agreement that includes verbiage such as the following:
Natural Path Marketing has had a number of cases of plagiarism and now has to legally protect our creativity. In order to protect our intellectual property
we ask each of our potential clients to sign the following confidentiality
disclosure:

I (we) agree to not copy in any form, TV or radio spots, creative approaches
or designs that have been presented by A3 Marketing in pursuit
of our business.

I (we) agree that any materials furnished to me (us) by A3 Marketing
is the sole intellectual property of A3 Marketing in perpetuity.

I would then have them date and initial all exhibits you share with them.

Thanks. When you say attorney, do you mean a Patent Attorney? I figure they would be the one to draft NDA`s and such. Thanks again.

Any attorney should be able to draft a simple, yet enforceable document for you to use. a Patent Atty. would probably want to charge you a high fee for a complicated instrument. What you need is an NDA with a covenant forbidding the viewer to use the idea. You should probably include a default judgement clause.

Please do not construe my recommendations as an attempt to give legal advice. However, I have used a document similar to this in my own creative endeavors.

Hey Watson75, I see this all happen in 2006 and I can say I found this thread extremely useful.

I was wondering if you ended up doing the website, and which steps did you end up taking? Did you register the company as a LLC and later had your web-designer sign the NDA? What advise would you give to a young entrepreneur about to undertake the same challenge you had back in 2006?

All the best!
