Hi,

I am starting a party/event planning, entertainment business and I'm struggling to think of a creative, catchy name.  I would appreciate any suggestions!!  We want to focus on fun events like theme parties, bar crawls, and anything else we come up with to make life more fun.  So I would like a name that provides that fun, exciting, enterainment focused feeling.

tfdosu,

Well, I think there are certain advantages to generic names, rather than creative names. I had a friend who was creative with her company's name, and she regret her creativity b/c she often has to explain to people what she does; meaning, it is not clearly understood from her company name what she does.

Having said this, I don’t have a catchy suggestion, and I suggest you include "event planner"

If you operate locally: “Your City Premier Event Planners”, or a word that speaks to your target audience.

I wrote a post that might be helpful for picking out a good business name.  The article is called 4 Tips For Picking Great Small Business Names

As much as you might want a clever or catchy name, you don't want to be too catchy.  Clever does not sell nearly as well as just plain great service.  I hope that helps.

Okay, so here are a few names I thought you might like:

The Party People, "Creating Great Parties Al the Time"

Creative Parties, "For those That Want to Have Fun!"

Parties By Design, "Creating a Custom Party Just for You!"

I agree with a previous post, that you really should create a name that is easy for people to get what you do.  This is especially true if you don't have the budget to focus on branding the name.

Here's to your success!
