My dream: to pitch a franchise plan to a company that sells a product, primarily on-line, and begin creating retail locations to sell their product. This company has 3 "Outlet" locations in which they sell the product through their parent company’s large outlet locations. I would like to open “smaller – non outlet” retail location using the company name, product logo..etc. In exchange of using their product, logo and buying their product at cost, I would pay a yearly royalty fee or pay a % of profit. Once the retail store shows a consistent profit, I would create a franchise plan for others to purchase.
This is a very well know on-line retailer and having their name on my store should guarantee success. I’m hoping the on-line retailer will welcome the idea of someone like me taking the risk to open retail locations with growth opportunities for the on-line retailer (with more store I open or franchise, the more money they make as well as the exposure of their name….making the on-line business stronger).
Any ideas on how I should approach the on-line retailer regarding this idea?
Thank you,
John
