As usual, excellent suggestions and guidance.  Your concept is covering lots of areas - and open to expansion.  Campusrandom. Randomcampus.  Practicallyrandom. Allrandom.  You provide practical information when randonly needed. The word "random" seems to fit the variety you`re addressing and is a common word used today.

Hey Yiwen,

How about something like `collegesoup.com` or `campusoup.com` or add an extra `s` to either of these names.

Basically something related to the combination of a college environment and soup where using soup as an abstract of finding in your soup what ever you need?

If so I`d appreciate if you buy your domain, web hosting or web pages from my web site: www.mydomaintheweb.com

Man, whatever you do, please don`t use numbers or words "ninja" or "clown" - all of that is just too uncool.

As far as SlavaCron - "cron" part sounds too computerish (as an Apache cron), "Slava" sounds like "Slavic" plus "Slava" is a russian name. None of it has nothing to do with saving time.

Did you just recommend not using words in a name?  Interesting.

Haha, yes, correct.
See, when creativity and domain name availability are low, people start use numbers and/or words that might sound cool today but will sound retarded tomorrow. Don`t you agree?

I have to agree with you Infilta about words not always sounding cool.  As much as I have always loved ninjas, I can`t expect everyone to always recognize just how cool they really are.... :)

Interestingly, the word "cool" is immune from becoming socially retired it seems.....  but it is taken for most domains.... so PERHAPS he could just settle for being on the bleeding edge of cool and invent a word that will have years of life in it...  my new vote is for "RadicoolCampus.com"...

"Radicool" - You saw it here first.

Seriously though... Naming is difficult, but I think it is VITAL to success online...  and if not vital, it is certainly more of an uphill battle to be recognized if your name isn`t catchy.

This is becoming a great thread. :)

Charlie

Yeah, Charlie. Problem with cool name for domains is that a most of them are taken, and what`s sad, they`re purchased by resellers. That`s so retarded. Half of the domains I`m checking for availability have MFA`s there. Screw them.
