Does anyone use Ivillage.com for networking? It is a good resource and they also have chatrooms which I find helpful too. For all your wedding planners they have a chat at 9 pm every sunday night....

Thanks for the heads up, Jo.  I`ll have to go check that out.  :) I assume 9pm is eastern time?

Not to worry! - its EVERY sunday nite. I would suggest registering in advance
(to be able to participate) they use java script so I dont know if you would have
to download that if you dont have it already installed. This way you are ready
to go ) Then just log it a few minutes before 9 Pm EST.

Geez, this is where my day goes;  thanks to this post I just spent about an hour checking out the iVillage travel message boards and putting up some stuff related to my family travel blog.

Thanks for the tip, though. Will let you know if anything comes of it.

Sheila

ivillage, sounds interesting I will take a look, could you give some pro and cons in comparison to linkedin.com, biznik.com, ecademy.com etc.

Thanks

OK, have now had a few online "conversations" about my family travel niche over on iVillage; nice bunch but not that much traffic flow in my particular area.

Still think it`s worth it to get the word out there, will keep checking their boards to see if I can contribute anything.

Thanks, Sheila

Sorry Erik, I am not familiar with the sites that you have mentioned. I learned
about I-Village a while back but I am not active in that community right now since
I just don`t have the time anymore. I belong to a Yahoo community group where the members are either starting up a service business like myself or already have it up and running.
