I couldn`t find an appropriate forum for this question, so I`ll try this one. I need a source for cheap food labels. I`m beginning to think cheap food labels is an oxymoron though. I can`t believe the prices of labels. By the way, when I say labels, I`m speaking of printed labels, not blank labels. What`s the best deals you all have found for food labels (need to be water resistant or water proof)? Thank you.

I`m in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am looking at several new products. What I need to start with and what I`m willing to invest in are two different amounts. I can start with Avery labels on my inkjet printer if I have to for peanuts, but they look just like what they are - a cheap beginners label. My best deal so far is one color ink on a color background, 5 X 3 - 1000 labels for $144.00, so I guess that`s my reference point. I could start off with as little as 200 easily, but that`s really expensive on a per label price.

Try Maverick Label.  They are on the web.  You are correct that it is not cheap to get labels.  I`ve used Maverick though and their quality and service are great.

Sorry, I did not get your quote. Neither by phone or email or fax. You said you were going to call me back with the quote and never did. In the meantime, I have located a local printer that I think is going to work out for me. I have to meet with him soon. If it doesn`t work out, I`ll be in touch, but I never received a quote from you. I do appreciate your effort though and thank you for it.

Yes, nice labels are costly, I use Uline, and anything under 200.00 will be billed to you. I have beautiful labels- 2 color and they do a really nice job. Ok, good luck~Annette
