   I have this invention idea for a solar-powered fish feeder.  Can anyone assist me in finding someone to build my prototype?  It`s a fairly simple design with nothing too complicated to build.

I`m not too knowledgeable about building prototypes and what not, but consider filing for a patent and then going to elance to hire an engineer to build your prototype.

You might also consider filing for a "provisional patent" and contact some of the bigger companies in the industry on your idea. If they like it, they will pay you royalties based on your idea.

solarboy, do you live near a university or even vo-tech high school? you could probably get either to help with the prototype for material cost. it gives the students a hands on learning experience.most probably at the senior level these students will be sharp especially in new technologies.

If so it's easy to have them made.

Ask for Scott he's a frggin genious.  He can even do PCB and circuit design.
