To Every StartupNation member out there....

You all know so much about your businesses, and about success in business, but now`s the time to test what really matters ... your NCAA March Madness IQ.

I`ve set up a Group at the Yahoo! Sports Tournament Pick `em 07 called StartupNation Community. The link is Yahoo! Sports Tourney
and you will enter the following group and password:

Group: 57466
Password: startupnation

There are only 250 spots available, so don`t delay. Create your bracket, select your teams, then come back here and let`s talk about the choices. I`m sure there may be some bragging. But mostly it`s about taking a break from everything we spend our days on and keep the work/life balance.

Let`s have some fun.

John

Fun?? This is totally all about talkin` trash.

Go down the halls of StartupNation HQ and you`ve got Chuck: a North Carolina grad, JohnSiv: a Wisconsin grad, and me: grew up in the shadow of Ohio State.

That`s two #1 seeds and a #2 seed (sorry John) and our offices are an easy tennis ball throw (or 3-point jumper) from one another.

The Wisconsin grad wants to have fun. I guess that`s what you do when you lose so convincingly in the Big 10 tourney final to the Buckeyes. I say it`s only fun if you win!!

Let the "FUN" begin!!

Despite getting the toughest region of any of the #1 seeds, the Heels will cut down the nets in Atlanta and party on Peachtree. Book it.

Hello from a Jayhawk!!  I went to KU and my husband went to UCLA.  We may have a showdown in our bracket--oh no!!  I`m going over to select my teams now.  Love tourney time!!

Regular season means nothing any more. OSU was unbeatable, but it sure helps when they let Oden go over the back every single time. I think Conley is the MVP of that team right now. Without him, they would be nowhere close to the favorite they are. Impressive for 2 freshman to sure the maturity they have.

Badgers are going to see lots of zones after that shooting display, but I`m confident they`ll bounce back.

Thankfully my wife went to Michigan undergrad, so barring some miraculous turnaround in the near future, there won`t be any chance of a Wolverine v. Tar Heel tourney matchup (she gets football, I get basketball).

Putting the finishing touches on my picks, but thought I`d pass along a few nuggets of information:

I have 2 #5 seeds losing in the 1st round (there is always at least one 12 seed making it)

I have 2 #7 seeds getting upset in the 1st round

I have 2 #2 seeds losing in round 2, as well as a #3 seed and a #4. The 2nd round will not be kind (either to them or to me).

I`m inclined to pick Notre Dame to beat Winthrop, just because every single sportscaster I`ve heard is predicting that Winthrop is this year`s George Mason.

John -

I think both you and I are hoping that - recent trends notwithstanding - you`re wrong about one of those #2 seeds.

Stars carry teams all the time, and Alando Tucker is no slouch.
