MyIdentityDefender - what is it really?

It seems to me that ID Theft and Phishing scams are one of the bigger problems on the Internet that can damage your credit and your business.

I have read that to help protect yourself, you should not give out your personal or business info unless it is a trusted site, really look to see if a ebay or back page is for the correct domain and other common sense stuff.

I am loading a new computer, and a friend of mine told me that there is some program call MyIdentityDefender that will help you avoid known phishing sites and allows you to alert others if you find one.

Does anyone know anything of this software?

Their website ( http://www.myidentitydefender.com/ ) seems really good, plus they are a NASDAQ company, but does anyone have any real experience with it?

Your help and any expertise would be truly appreciated.

Can anyone help me with this? Do I have enough protection with Cyberdefender?

I`ve used Cyberdefender and it works really well for me, so I think you`ll be fine. You may want to think about some of the upgrades they have available too - I know the 24 hour tech support has saved me a couple of times with various computer troubles.

I came across my old post and wanted to update it, Trapweed - I paid for the upgrade of Cyberdefender and it`s been great! I`ve used the 24 hour tech support a few times already. It`s warned me about some sights that were risky, so I didn`t go on them. It`s very easy to use and I`m very happy.
