Look, nobody thinks you`re stupid. A lot of people who get involved in these critiques really do look at the object site from a customer perspective first. "I`m a visitor, stumbled on the site...what do I know?"
Then they also bring to the mix Web development skills, marketing ideas, navigational concepts, aesthetics, visual pathways, and writing skills. You really do get a pretty good analysis of the site, based on only what`s showing. On top of that, people here try to read your "intent," to see if maybe there are some suggestions as to how to make that intent more clear.
Bottom line: You have a service that`s supposed to generate ideas. Does that basic principle come across on this particular site, on MDWiki. No, not very well. PART of that is because it`s on MDW. But another significant part is encompassed by the rest of the responses. Fair enough? :-)
