I believe there`s another interesting sea change taking place, based on
the never-ending advertisements for how to get rich on the Web doing
absolutely nothing.
EBay is once again changing their policy to get rid of as many volume
sellers as possible and make it even more difficult for people to buy
items through the site. Why?...nobody knows; they`re just trying to
drive people away. One thing is they`re going to tell YOU how much you
can charge for shipping (and handling). It`s not up to you anymore.
The reason, in my opinion, is that a flood of delusional desperados
have bought these $50 disks that teach you how to make money on eBay.
All you have to do is sell any kind of junk for $1, then charge $10
shipping and pocket the difference.
With the economy the way it is, all we hear about now is that the
online world is the Magic Kingdom. Going back in history, this is
absolutely the same thing as the great California gold rush. Only with
a twist.
Imagine if you were told that in order to get rich in California, all
you needed to do is stay in Philadelphia and tell everyone around you
that you had a gold mine in California, then sell them shares in that
mine. Oh...wait...people DID that!
No matter what period of history you study, there always will be people
who believe that you can make money without any effort at all. But look
at a good con artist: They put a tremendous amount of work into
developing the con job. And that`s not even real! What must it take to
develop a legitimate business?
