I have a new product that I am introducing this holiday season that was just featured in the November/December issue of Organize magazine, which is currently on newsstands.  It`s very exciting.

If you want to see the placement, here`s a link to a page we`re working on on our website: : https://www.sterlingpear.com/index.php?option=com_content&am p;am p;am p;am p;task=view&id=35&Itemid=181

While there, feel free to peruse our website and send me a personal email with any suggestions.  We`re hoping to launch it November 7.  Any comments received to my personal email before then would be appreciated.  Unfortunately, our web developers are about two weeks behind in launching our website so I`m bummed out that we`re possibly missing out on the windfall of hits from the media attention.  I`m trying to press our developers to finish it but they are still in the testing phase.  Ugh!

That is fantastic!  You should see if they can add a stop gap measure to capture emails from your visitors to let them know when you are ready for orders ... your site is looking nice and I`m sure it will all be great. Congratulations.

In the meantime, we`ve made a snazzy "coming soon" page at our url www.sterlingpear.com and provided an option to send their email addresses to us and we`ll notify them upon our launch.  That`s the best way we could think of not tp lose too many people who might come looking for us but leave because we haven`t launched yet.  People don`t normally remember to come back!

Whew!  That is so much better than where your top link took me ... I was afraid you didn`t have that and I was worried for you.  Your site is very elegant and professional; I get the feeling this isn`t your first rodeo!

Nope. My first time in business.  It`s a huge learning process.  My partner and I are doing everything ourselves from designing the product, to the overseas manufacturing (3 trips to China in the last six months), to the marketing.  It`s a bit stressful launching the business just in time for the holidays.  (Although I have been working on this for the last year and a half.)  Very little sleep for the lst six months.  But its a big adventure.  Hopefully, we`ll get more press to come since I have ordered a pretty big inventory.  Lot`s to be anxious about.  Nothing every happens as smoothly as you expect it to or on time.  I`m learning as I go.

imho you`re doing a fantastic job and I don`t see any rough edges ... your photography and design are very reflective of the elegance and style I see from sites like Martha Stewart and others catering to upscale buyers (I`d think that would give your PR a big boost as there`s not that disconnect when their readers go to you; I have no idea about your market, but you look great to this simple taco maker).

WOW I love it.  Great photo on www.sterlingpear.com   It made me wish Christmas was already here.  I could smell the roasted marshmallows.

Congrats on making this happen so fast!   I cannot wait to hear more about your successes.  Could you please share how you achieved getting your product on the cover?   Did you just send a sample to the editor.

Enjoy,

Di

I have a connection with someone who works for "Organize" magazine and she pitched our product to the editorial division for their "New Things" column for the holiday issue.  The editors decided it was a great fit for that column.  The cover was a bit of a surprise.  We got a call from the magazine the day before the photo shoot and was told they wanted to center the cover around our product, and it would be the only "organizational" element of the shoot.  We were a bit disappointed however because it turned out they only included a single tray in the cover image since the product really is a box and set of three trays.  Additionally, there was a typo in the "Where To Find It" section in the back where they called it a "Green Ordainment Tray."  What is an ordainment, you ask?  I don`t know.  It was supposed to be written "Green Ornament Tray."  Hopefully it won`t confuse people too much.  Oh well, you don`t have complete control of things when its free editorial...

Thank you for more details...

ordainment?  what is that?   It is funny and sad at the same time.   Who is suppose to spell check/error check? It is still great news and keeps us newbies focused on the prize just ahead of us, almost out of reach, but within reach.

you`ll have to add "ordainment(s)" to your "meta tags" and keep going ... nothing can take away from your being on the front cover and what you can do with that in your p.r.; I got how it was a storage box for x-mas balls and far superior to what I`ve seen people use.  If you want to have some real fun you should try having a product people "don`t get" (I posted something fun that we just got from a site today) and where 1/2 the battle is getting them to go "duh"!
