This may not be the right topic for getting the answer, but does anyone know just how much money a site-owner can get by including banner ads, counting clicks, and that sort of thing?

Could this site provide a reasonable income only that way? I do know that if the site catches on, with a world population of 6-billion, $3US per month for a registration fee would mount up PDQ! (Pretty damn quick.)

That brings up another issue: a good checkout software, or transaction processing system. If you`re running from Ireland, but I`m in the US and want to use the site (and pay for the service), I have no idea how to handle currency translations and international banking.

EBay does this fantastically well, making the exchange of money transparent to the customer. You`ll want to have a way to build up income, or get an angel investor, so you can afford a way to make it that easy to sign up and pay for the service.

In fact, I`ll start a topic for that, and you can keep an eye on whatever suggestions show up. :-) I can see a terrific future for something like this, if it catches on. There`s just enough humor but also it addresses an actual problem/issue people in the dating world really do have.

Another thought: People need a way to verbally speak the name of your company, and you should help. "Getmooh" sounds like what? "Get Moo?"

Or it could be GMOOH, pronounce "Guh-Moo." I dunno...there`s an entire humor content here, just waiting to be exploited! :-D I wonder if it`s worth doing a play on the cow image, or is that just too...too.

"Blind date catastrophe? GMOOH to the Rescue!"
"Falling asleep listening to Aunt Jersey? Use GetMOOH to Rescue Me!"
(Gotta have some actual marketing people to work on this!)

Keep in mind the SEO and optimization writing. What phrases would people search in Google that would apply to your business? "blind date" "leaving a party" "reasons to leave" "rescue phone call" and that sort of thing. You`ll want to show up near the top of a search engine query, so what would someone likely type into the query box that would in any way, remotely connect with GetMooh?....(I still kinda like GMOOH, if it`ll be an acronym!) :-)

This idea is so cool, claps for you dude!

The site`s appearance is actually very nice, though you do need to put:
"We will not sell, rent, or reveal your private information to any third party" or something like that on the home page.

As for the payment issue as raised by CraigL, try using Paypal.

This is cool mooh mooh me don`t call me could be your slogan.

Not sure how you guys make money if the service is free though. I agree with the suggestion of showing a privacy statement and also you need more details to capture peoples names for example on the capture page.

Just a suggestion too.

Well moohed

I liked the site, great job! The only thing I wish is that the part below the form on the home page that explains what the site is all about had a larger or bolder font. I`m too old and too married for a site like this to do me any good, but back in the day...oh yea.
