I just started my first ever business...I am only 18 so I have not had a lot of time. I would be really interested to get feedback on it..it is basically a web service. Check it out on www.getmooh.com

Thanks in advance to everyone - I am just really short of opinions on it.

I think it is great you are doing this at your age. Kudos to you. I did a brief
scan but what I saw looks good and it is easy to navigate. There are a couple
of editing issues that should be addressed. Email me if you want specifics.

LOL! :-D I love it! What a terrific idea, and one that so few people would think of in terms of a business.

I do have some thoughts, though. The first thing that really concerned me was the landing page (home) had only the form for my phone number. I thought about how many folks would think it was just a way to grab phone numbers to sell to telemarketers. Maybe have a large disclaimer, right at the top, that you do not sell any information.

This gets into privacy issues, and I`m sure you`ll be able to find standard privacy policy statements on many other types of sites that
you can copy, where they also capture phone numbers for a good reason.

I`m pretty sure, but I`m not a lawyer, that if you state clearly on the site that you do not sell numbers, then if you do, you`re liable. People would be reassured, anyway, knowing this isn`t a broadcast email kind of scam thing.

More importantly, until I scrolled down, I didn`t see how to get off this page to anywhere else. I like that there`s this instant and quick setup so if you`re out the door on a date, you can fill in the form. But, it doesn`t have to be on the main home page.

You could have a subscription, where there`s a description on the main page about what`s the service, why it`s available, and so forth, and a "login" that offers the user the option to "remember me." That would take them immediately to their setup, which would also remember their numbers.

Have a dropdown of phones, like how Amazon allows you to set up an address book, with a dropdown to choose your Ship To address. A remembered login would do the same thing, putting the person right at the "call me" page. The dropdown would choose the phone number, and all the other info would be auto-filled. So they could accomplish their GMOOH call with maybe 3 clicks of the mouse, and be out the door in half a minute.

I`d like to see a menu along the side, that duplicates the places down at the bottom. It`s just typical, basically, and sort of expected.

I`d also like to see on the home page, anyway, the spell-out of Get Me Out Of Here even more highlighted. It`s such a great idea, funny, clever, and useful, you should really play it up! :-)

Finally, this relates to a public service that`s increasing around the country. It`s a registration site for women (and men, I suppose) on college campuses who are going out on a date. They register so someone knows when they went out, who they went with, and when they expect to return. It`s optional, not a "Big Brother is Watching" kind of thing, primarily for personal safety. Perhaps you could model your site after the way these sites work.

Your site is far more fun, not threatening, and deals with one of those problems we all have, but don`t like to discuss in "polite society." I think it`s terrific. Now it comes down to....how do you make money? If you charge a very low monthly (or annual) subscription rate, that anyone can afford....say $3/month, could you make better income from banner ads, links, and that sort of thing?

You`ll also want to market specifically to colleges, to start, then gradually move into the singles world. You`ll have to research places, and I doubt places like match.com would include the service. That being said, see if you can connect socially with some people in the 21-29 yearold age group, find out what life as a single dating person is like these days, and that should show you a pathway for marketing outside the college ages.

Hi,

I`m back. I tried to use the service but I kept getting the message that the
time was incorrect. The messages to send are pretty funny. Wish I could get
it to work.

Antonia,

I think its a great idea that if it was cheap enough people would pay for it.  Think of the site that does Santa Claus calls on Christmas.  For my own curiosity how is this being accomplished?  Is this an Asterisk setup with a couple VOIP lines?  At any rate instead of making the user choose a time have a way the user can schedule it from his or her phone.  For phones with data service you could just do a mobile version of the website.  For phones that don`t maybe just have them send a text message with the ID of the sound they want to play...

Just my 2 cents.

I`m back, again. It worked! I got my call. But not sure why because I got that
error message.

The time selection could be a little clearer. Maybe use the 12 hour and not
the 24 hour clock?

I`m also curious on how you make money from this?

I think it`s a clever idea. I haven`t tried it yet, but I may in the future!

Hi Guys,

Really blown away by all the positive feedback and constructive suggestions. I am really happy that you guys took the time to have a look at it.

I know there are a fair few issues and I am going to go through everything everyone has said and come up with an issues log which we will post live on the site just to let people know what we are working on.

I work nights over here so I am only basically up out of bed now (it is lunchtime here in Ireland) - so apologies for the delayed response.

It`s not really a new idea.  These guys have been doing it for a couple years except that they actually make the calls live.
