I`m starting my networking  contact list and I`m would like hear from anybody who is interested in participating.

This network will consist of any possible profession because I will need people from all feilds of expertise.

Please indicate what level of participation:

Please list what you feel you have to offer:

I think that all of us on the SUN forums would ascribe to building our contact lists and from what I can see, everyone seems willing to help in any way they can.  I do this on a daily basis, from prospects, customers, suppliers, casual encounters and have picked up a few really good contacts from these forums.  Potential customers, investors and professional services.

It may prove helpful to most of us (OK, me to name one) if you would let us know what you are looking to accomplish with your network contacts.  Startup advice, professional services, encouragement, motivation, organization, financing, mentoring, etc., etc., etc.   What is your line of business, what stage is it in, what`s the most pressing need you currently face?  As has been said in many other venues, help us help you.

In reply to your request to list what I have to offer:

I am a three time startup entrepreneur, one successful, one ongoing and growing at a rate of 50-70% per year, and one just getting underway.  I am a board member of an Enterprise facilitation project to encourage and support people to start their own businesses in our county.  I have learned alot about marketing and selling with my businesses and others, and am still learning with every venture.  I don`t offer professional services any more ( I got out of the computer consulting business a number of years ago).  I have over 50 ideas for companies, products or services and not enough time, money or me to make them all happen now!

Let me know how I can help.

into the marketplace) and can offer help with marketing and
what I`m learning starting my business.

I am interested, can you please explain exactly how this networking group is going to work?

The basics of the network program is a referal system.

I, along with every other business person, will have customers who will need different services that I may not offer and I would like a network of professionals that will be able to satisfy these needs.  Whether it is someone I could refer a client to of for my own needs.

I want to have a network of individuals who I can call on and be able to trust.

It will grow to much more as I develop the Idea development Program that I have touched on in the other post.   This organization will be in need of different services .

Erik,

I was just looking at your site,  I dont have time to go through the whole things but  after reading "Think and grow rich" for the third time I was trying to find an already established Master mind group  but only stumbled into one organization that I wasn`t impressed with.

I like what your site has to offer,  on the surface.  I will have the opportunity to give it a good look in acouple hours.  I`m excited.  it looks like it may be the networking group that I`m looking for.

I`ll toss my name into the hat.  While I am currently lauching a blog directory project I do need to earn a living still.  I do a bit of freelance PHP/MySQL Internet programming from time to time.

Hmm, as a repeat entrepreneur I`ve worn many hats and have led IT teams, designed solutions, had systems reviewed by investment teams, written documents for public consumption, all kinds of strange experience that might let me provide advice or critique plans for going through similar.

I`d love to network with all of you.  I love to help entrepreneurs promote their products and services in unique ways.

I`d would like to offer a web conference room where we can have a live conversation and an opportunity to speak to everyone here about our business and what kind of customers we`re looking for.  If you`re interested in joining a live virtual network, please contact me ASAP>

I participate in several local business networking groups and believe in the power of referral marketing. However, I am hesitant to jump on board quickly to your idea.  When I refer someone, I need to be able to trust that they are going to take excellent care with my client, friend, ect.

How do you develop that type of trust within this type of network? Do the members offer testimonials, references, ect? How can a member be assured that someone they refer to someone they care about is going to be reputable?

OK, I`ve watched a lot of replies come in saying that there is interest in networking from within this group, but that`s about it as far as an `action plan`. So I`m going to try to get the ball rolling.

Here`s who I am: I am the owner of ResuMAYDAY, a career management services company, specializing in executive and career transition resumes. We have 7 Resume Experts on staff so our turn-around time is lightning fast. We also provide executive bios for websites and marketing materials. I was recently selected to be a Career Advice Expert for Yahoo! HotJobs so you`ll see me quoted in a story every now and then. I also have a CD available through my website titled, "Conversations with a Career Coach" that will help jump-start your job search. My company is located in the Chicago area but we work with clients on a national and international level since most everything is done via phone and email.

I need: a reliable and competitive supplier of mailing supplies. I send out an average of 20-30 resume packages a month so I go through these particular mailers pretty fast and have always had a difficult time finding a supplier who stays in the game. Know of anyone?

Thanks!

Lauren
