When I really work at my blog, I can get as many visitors as I seek in any given day.  When its comes to my web store, I have more of a challenge.  I only average about 20-40 visitors to my site a day.  Thats not enough to make a decent amount of sales.  How to I get more visitors to my site? I know how to do it for my blog, but its hard to translate that to my web store.

I was thinking of combing my blog and web store using theWordpress Shopp plugin, but thats more of a challenge for me technically (transfering the domain, etc).

Well, you have started on the right path - by having links on your log menu to your store.
One problem is those links are down the page a little and  the google ad on your blog detract from them.

Which do you want more - clicks on your google ads or clicks to your store? If you still want google ads on your blog, I`d suggest moving them below your store links.

The second thing to do is incorporate links to your store within your blog post content. Post about your products, announce new products or sales/specials...etc.

I do not think there is a need to combine the two... the design`s of both are similar. You might want to add a link in your store back to your blog, just to be user friendly.

There is one significant difference between blogs and websites/ecommerce sites. Blogs are proactive and websites are not. That is, when you make a post on a blog a notice goes out to the web that "hey there`s some new content here". Assuming you have your blog set up to ping varioussites. However, a website or ecommerce site is more reactive - in that you rely on search bots to read your site for new content and update their respective search engine.

There is one exception for ecommerce sites - that is feeding your inventory to Googlebase or the like. You can do this for your whole inventory or for one or a handful of items.

Thanks for the advice! I am in the process of adding additional pages on my blog that has all of my products linking back to the website with updated information.  Though I update my blog someone often, I need to incorporate more of my website in the blog itself.

I do have a link linking back to my website. Its at the top under "shop here".

I agree with Roland. Have your blog send people off to your store, and also have your store linked to content in your blog that refers to the product and gives more information.

The set up looks great the way it is right now. Very clean and refreshing.

Good work!

At last you included that you need to add Wordpress Webstore plugin. I think it is good idea for getting adding the blog with wordpress. And however wordpress is too simple so it doesn't require more technical issue.
