I am working on commercializing another consumer product with a partner. My last invention was successfully licensed to a company. My question is, Should I develop multiple products under my business name or start a new company for a new product now with a partner? I am mostly thinking about any liability reasons for this. Thanks.

Do you want your partner to have any ownership interest with your other products, or just this new one?  Would you possibly be seeking investment capital on this one product, and not the others?  If the answer to either of these questions is yes, you may want to consider starting a separate entity for this new product.

The Legal Considerations of Starting an Online Business

I do not want my partner to have any ownership in my other products. I dont think we need to seek investment capital on this project. Just what I was thinking, start another entity for this product. Thanks. Good advice.
