A term used to describe the percentage of loans that do not close in a mortgage originator's pipeline. Mortgage originators adjust the fallout assumptions used in their hedge ratios as interest rates change relative to the loans they have in their pipelines.

In this time of recession it is really difficult to survive in market specially when you are mortgage broker or a real estate agent as the market of solid asserts like land has fallen to an extreme that no one is ready to invest in it now to that extend that it was taking earlier.
