You might have observed submit sitemap option on your webmaster tools where you can submit the path of your sitemap where you have uploaded in your website and can verify whether it works or not. To verify those sitemap, Google Bot needs to crawl instantly and need to check for errors. So previously you would be able to check those errors after some time now you would be able to see it instantly. There is a detail added for image and video sitemap and instructions on errors in sitemap file.
