Hi, I am new to this site and was wondering if I can get my website critique. Any suggestions  would be much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Great looking site.

The only feedback I have is on your contact page.

You have:

Please identify who you are and which photo is your Primary Photo. The process may take up to 2-3 weeks for us to receive and post your photo(s) by mail. We do not return any material received by postal mail.

That does not make any sense.

Great idea,

Like the site, just a few suggestions.

The first thing my eyes were drawn to was the box with a "advertise with us! contact us for rates." I would scale this back and maybe move it away, I also would shrink the header with your name so you get a better view of the featured listings  and in general the area below the header. Your most valuable real estate is what the visitor views as soon as they land on the page so I think if the whole top area is shifted up and the header with your name is smaller the site would look great and give a better view as to what is happening on our website.

Any way great concept, love the site.

Best of Luck

Hi Debra Ann :-)
One issue I have is the pink on white lettering for some of your highlights. It disappears and makes it hard to read. I`m a strong adherant to the concept that first-time visitors to a site usually fall into it accidentally. As such, they "glance" at it, make an instant decision as to whether it`s relevant, then stay or leave.

Your site is very "bright" with not a lot of contrast. It`s hard to get the message in 4 seconds, and I think it could likely be done better in that respect. The key is your branding message. Why do you exist, and what will I (the visitor) get from the site?

Many companies develop a site with the belief, in my opinion, that the only visitors will be those who already know what they`re searching for. The visitors will already know about the company, what it does, why it`s there, and how to use the site.

I don`t believe that`s true.

I think most visitors, particularly first-time visitors to a site just stumbled onto it through a search-engine results page. As such, they have no idea what`s the company, what it does, how it works, or anything else.

It`s incumbent upon the company to make it as simple as possible for strangers to "get the concept."

Your "How it Works" button takes me to a page with lots and lots and lots and lots of text. :-) It reads like a contract! Maybe even a bit more. I would imagine you could probably boil all that text down to some simple graphics. Like a visual flowchart.

Below the graphic demonstration, you then could write out the idea. But in less text.

Bottom line: There`s not enough contrast on the site to make it easy to read. You would likely benefit from better copywriting. There could be more graphic demonstrations of ideas, rather than text descriptions.

Your "Sell for Free" page looks so complicated, I just got tired looking at it. I thought it would be the "How this works," but it`s more a Registration page. That sort of odd contradiction is what could be done better, I think.

Hi Debra Ann.

I have a few top-level questions for you.

What is the main thing you want visitors to do when they get to the home page?

What are the handful of priority keywords you want to rank for, and what is the aggregate traffic of these keywords? (rhetorical question)

Do you have a clear plan to rank for these keywords so that you get maximum traffic?

Are you doing PPC? If so, are you using that data for your long term market intelligence?

Just some things to think about.

Let me ask you three questions.
1) What is your cost per online visitor?

3) What is the lifetime value of your customer?

I will cut to the chase on the SEO/SEM efforts to focus on increasing your bottom line.
