Hi everyone. Was wandering if anybody around is familiar with
Microsoft Point of Sale for retail, software.
i have been using it since last July and i find it very simple and the fact that looks and feel like windows makes it very friendly.
Support for this software is a different kind of nightmare (i wish i can just call a number someone answer i ask my question i get an answer done) none of this.
Well getting the information on how to get registered to have support like on CostumerSource that is not even scratching the surfaces.
While i am going trough this microsoft maze i do have some questions that are not about teknical stuff but just of user interface and maybe common among various Point of Sale software and how they handle credit card processing.
For example: a card has been declined. Do i get a warning right way? I should.
Who send me the warning? The merchant services? The issuer bank?
Is the software contacting the issuer bank for autorization first then when i settle the transaction the merchant services get it?
I am sorry i do not know where helse to go for answers.
I had 3 way calls with all the partys involved and none of the service reps can tell me anything more then all the cards are beeng processed and then someone will notify me that one card has been declined and that can happen 3 or 4 or even 5 days leter. Ridicolous is it ?
Help please and thanks for reading.
