My website celebrated it`s one-year anniversary yesterday.  I`ve tinkered with it and am hHappy to report it is starting to get decent readership.

www.MerchantServices-help.com

The goal was to clarify a lot of the issues merchants face with their credit card processing issues based on my twenty-plus years in the industry.  It is intended to be an unbiased free resource to answer FAQ`s, define terms, explain little-understood concepts such as how fees are calculated and how ecommerce processing works, etc.  And if anyone appreciates the honest insights and decides to do business with us, so much the better.

So I`d love some opinions from you folks out there:

Do you find the info to be valuable and informative?
Easy to read?
Well organized?

Please be brutally honest, all opinions gladly accepted and appreciated. This is a
homemade labor of love (I`m 60 now and looking forward to slowing down and enjoying a comfortable retirement with wife and grand kids) .

Thanks.

I think you offer a lot of good information for people just getting into this area. The fact that you state you have been in this business for awhile helps your credibility.

Your menu could use some reorganization. It bounces around between your site pages to merchant information pages.

Some pages are much wider than others, so maybe trying to get a consistency in them would look better. Also, different pages have different header font sizes and colors; again, think of consistency.

The first part of your main page describing your site doesn`t read naturally, but seems more like keyword stuffing. Write it for an actual person to easily make sense of it.

Thanx for the critique. Funny thing about the site, I notice it looks great on my computer, but on some other computers (at my mother-in-law`s for example) it DOES come off looking off-center.
Wonder why that is?  I`ll do my best to correct, but I am kind of stumped.  If anybody out there reading this can offer clues as to what I can do, a thousand thanks in advance.

I would suggest you start with a template using external css, and build all of your pages from that template. It will help with your consistency issues, and changes can easily be made in the css file for sitewide changes if needed.

Different PC`s can show websites differently dependent on the browser used, it`s settings and it`s version, monitor size and resolution, etc.
