Hello everyone! I`m so grateful to have found SuN!

I`ve got a "cart before the horse" problem! I had a trademark opportunity for my business and needed to get something "live" quickly...which turned out to be awebsite. Now, of course, I`ve got a great looking home page design and no content or knowledge about how to move things forward.

My business is The Local Dish, a multi-platform media brand providing today`s eco-conscious consumer with local information and social networking opportunities that reflect the importance of sustainable food and lifestyle choices... finding what you want in your local community, how and where to grow it, eating out, eating in, money saving tips, how to find artisans, food routes, lots of exciting possibilities! The site will leverage the trend towards localizing the consumer spending. Everyone I`ve spoken to supports the notion that the time is ripe for this business, and that the name is very brandable.

The upshot here is that I need knowledge about revenue generation, among many other things..but first...
1. The online advertising "process" details..the nuts and bolts, or steps to making it happen
2. How to forecast revenue from advertising, sponsored email, etc.

I`m looking for people with extensive media (online and TV experience) to mentor or join this venture. Think The Local Dish in communities nationwide! Is there someone out there with experience in designing business models with this goal in mind.

Thanks to all!
Barb
