Hello everyone,

I`ve listed all the requirements for what would be the perfect business for me.

Here they are :

a. Monthly income between 2000 and 3000 euros
b. Can be operated from any location/country
c. No brick and mortar (no office, no stock)
d. No incoming phone calls
e. Totally legal

Now, I`d like you to post back all the possible business ideas that match ALL the requirements above without exception, regardless of my skills/abilities.

The ones I`ve found so far :

1. running a very popular website and getting revenues from ads, subscriptions, etc.
2. being a personal coach/trainer/masseur/teacher ( appointments set by email )
3. writing best-sellers
4. providing web based consultancy services

Ok, your turn now :) ( please number them like I did so that we can easily refer to them in other posts )
I`ll try to add more too.

Thanks ;)

Sounds like the perfect job for me, too. ;-) When I figure it out, I`ll do it and be happy.

Wow, this does seem like the perfect business. ;) I honestly doubt it`s going to exist though. Especially the phone calls; if you`re a coach or teacher or writer, or if you have web consultant services, you`re going to get some phone calls. In my company, we get quite a few calls and a *lot* of support emails - it`s all part of the gig - so my biz would fail this list because of that. And I can`t imagine not offering that kind of support; some people really need to connect to a person via audio means.

But the thing that jumps out at me the most is `regardless of my skills/abilities`. You`re not going to be able to do any of the ones you`ve listed without some very specific skill sets. Running a popular web site is great (and having such a site, or at least an affiliate site, is probably the closest to what you`re looking for, in my opinion), but you need to know how to create and maintain a site, and how to sell. It`s just not going to work otherwise. And if you want to offer coaching, teaching, training, writing, or consultant services, you need skills in those areas. I certainly am not going to hire a coach who has no experience in the area they are coaching, at least. ;)

How many people buy into the TV commercials about owning your own business, where you make money with no product, no investment, and while you sleep? :-)

I don`t mind email support.
And I think you forget about the fact that there are businesses that require neither phone support, nor email support: rich content websites with ad revenues is one of them.

Well, I`ve been a webdesigner for about 10 years and I have the designing/programming skills to create any sort of website, from e-commerce to auctions systems.

But the concurrence is fierce among web developpers.
That`s why I want to create a highly automated site that will make money almost on its own. Again, I have all the skills for that. Only lacking the right idea.

And if you want to offer coaching, teaching, training, writing, or consultant services, you need skills in those areas. I certainly am not going to hire a coach who has no experience in the area they are coaching, at least. ;)

To me, the best option is selling intangible products.
That`s why I`ve started this new thread : http://www.startupnation.com/forums/5962/1/1

Thanks for your comments anyway :)

Try giving away really GREAT FREE info-stuff... and... ask for PayPal donations. (A `buy me a beer` button works pretty OK)

You might not make a lot of cashola - or it might, you never can tell - but it will be fun - and pretty-much hassle-free.
