In a B2B telemarketing campaign I think one of the biggest mistakes that many people make is that they try to explain their product or service over the phone to a prospect.
 
The secret to success in a B2B telemarketing campaign is to "SAY LESS TO MORE PEOPLE"! and let the email /fax/letter do the explaining, aka; they act as the third party.

I agree with you when doing B2B telemarketing ( keep it simple by saying less.) I found in my business I had to have a good web site. After taking a brief moment to introduce myself and tell them about my service I just asked them to check out my site and if they were interested contact me. I told them I would follow up in a few days to answer any questions they might have. I was able to achieve my goal of 200 accounts in just two months.

Not all, but in most B2B telemarketing, your goal should be to secure an appointment to see the potential client in person....
