We recently had a customer submit a recipe idea using one of our mixes and since it is getting to be that "chili" time of year, at least for me it is, I wanted to share this. Of course, a shameless plug for our product, but, if I do say so myself, a pretty tasty, easy dish to prepare. . .also, now thru the end of the year we are running a special on our web orders. If you order 5 or more mixes, you receive a 6th for free. Just simply add the name of your free mix into the Comments/Notes section on your order and you will be all set!

MELLIE’S MEXICAN CHILI

1-1/2 lbs. Hamburger
2 cans Tomato Soup

2 cans water (use soup can)

1 can refried beans

2 packs Mellie’s Mexi Mix

Brown hamburger in a large pan or dutch oven and drain grease. Return meat to pan and add in tomato soup, water, beans and Mellie’s Mexi Mix packets. Stir and heat to desired temperature. Serve.

NOTE: Can also either add a can of kidney beans, or substitute the refried for kidney beans.

Looks yummy Pam, and that`s what you should do.  Develop great recipes with your dips.  Dips are great, but in our kitchen, it`s good to know we can use them for so much more. Oh yeah, great contests you can have for your customers too!  Win with winning Dip recipes!

Janie, thanks for the note. I hate how slow the Foodie forum is, I wish there were more that work in the food business that would post here, how cool would that be. Yesterday I was on a mission to post something here. So, here was my attempt.

We have an ongoing give away for recipe ideas. Anyone that submits a recipe that we try and post to the site receives 3 free mixes!

I'll definitely try this recipe, I'm even thinking using alternative meat for the hamburger patties (hmmm, Turkey perhaps). Thank you for sharing
