I have an idea for advertising that might be ridiculous enough to create a little bit of interest or buzz, but I am at a loss as to making it happen.

Is anyone around here used to having these types of graphics made?  I`m looking for a simple cartoon animation, perhaps as "simple" as South Park in terms of graphics quality, probably in about a dozen unique frames or less.

Maybe PM me a referral to a good source for this type of thing?  Thanks!

Try http://www.elance.com

You`ll find some people there.  Just make a quit project and send it out to bid.  You`ll have a few by morning.

On a whim I checked out animation factory and might have something I can work with from there.  However, it`s going to take me days to split the animation into frames, put appropriate text on the frames and then reassemble it all.

However, if I can get it done, it will be darned near free (small fee to join the web site and get access to the graphics).  Anyway, just in case what I`m doing might be helpful to any other shoestring magicians out there...

Thanks for the pointer.  If I get frustrated enough I`ll end up paying someone...

You might check out local art/design schools where animation is taught.  Design students are often a great source of design, illustration and animation work at very reasonable rates - and they are usually seeking some "real world" work to add to their student portfolios.

With the online bidding sites you do sometimes take the risk of getting EXACTLY what you pay for.  As a design professional I know I would never offer my services on such sites.
