I currently have a lawn care company in a partnership with a friend of mine and I am looking at doing something on my own in a different industry, what do you suggest for an 18 year old college student. Thanks for your input.

My husband has a landscape design and build firm so from my experience I would suggest a stone yeard, mulch yard etc.

Okay, now I see you want to work in a different  industry..I should of read slower. What are your talents, where are your interests? Can you capitalize on the clients that you already have and do something that you can use your current client base? This would be a step ahead and give you a good start. There are SO many things you can do. Being 18 should not limit you. Think hard about it...do something that you would love to do everyday.

I just read about a gentleman named Jay Goltz that started a custom picture framing business while he was in college. The first year he had sales of $70.000 last year he had sales of $10 Million. but it took 10 years to get the sales up to that. If you like art and like artists I suggest you get a part time job with a picture framing co. then start your own.

What are your passions?

What do you love to do?

If you could do anything, every single day of the rest of your life, what would it be?

From there, take your ideas and create a business.

You can also search the internet for businesses that look like something you wouldn`t mind doing and research it that way.

Thanks!

Aaron

You might want to consider pool cleaning. Then you can offer a value added service.
