I have an e-commerce site that sells 4469 different picnic and tailgating supplies. We also have a fully licensed NFL & Collegiate line of products as well. I've put a lot into this and I think I finally have it ready for the 2012 season. Tell me what you think.

Merry Christmas to all. And to all a good night!

Hi Dave,

The website and business look pretty impressive from what I have seen so far.  I love sports and food so it was nice to check out a lot of the products on the site.  A few things I noticed:

-Some picture links were broken (i.e. Milano Insulated Tote Bag featured on the home page)

-you may want to feature some giveaways or incentives (like maybe a sporting even ticket giveaway to the best most loyal customer each month etc.)

-I would put the categories bar seen on the contact page on the home page

-I would add dates onto each blog

-I would add some videos to the site

-Make your contact information more prominent

-make the shipping deal standout more

-don't have the home page scroll as much.  make the content tighter, more direct and up front.

The site looks really nice and seems profitable.  Do you drop ship everything or do source everything from numerous suppliers on a case by case basis?  How much marketing and social media do you conduct?  Best of luck on sales in 2012 and do keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks for taking the time to look at and review my site.

In response to your post:

I viewed the Milano Insulated tote bag through 3 different browsers and could not find the broken pic.

The giveaway is a great idea. I planned on implementing that in a couple of months. I was going to have them go to my facebook page and like us and leave a comment on a topic I will pick from month to month related to my site and it's products. I will pull the winner from the comments left each month.

I like the categories to bee on the side as well, but I was talked into this by the designer. This is something I have been considering changing.

I will add dates to the blogs, but I am considering having my designer make this act as an actual blog like wordpress etc.

I have about 30 product related videos on the homepage and some on the specific product pages. But I probably need to make sure all the products that have vids have them on each product page.

I agree with having the contact info more prominent.

I thought I had the shipping deal front and center. But maybe a font color change would make it stand out more. I plan on changing the image in the free shipping logo to match the holiday or season's to keep it fresh.

As far as the scrolling. I have been debating that with myself. My main concern is not looking like everyone else in this niche. I do agree I need to use the space more wisely. But at the same time have a little more style than the competition. I'll work on that.

And yes I dropship everything for now. It's by far the easiest way to start. But as things grow and I learn more things will probably change.

I have a facebook (Welcome) page. I have a product feeds through facebook and google feeds. I have a twitter page. I have a off site blog. I'm on stumble upon, linkedin, reddit, digg, delicious.

I have used fanbase solutions to do PPC on facebook. I also dabbled with Adwords.

I employ a marketing firm to do all my on-site and off-site seo work.

I employ a writer to make sure all my content is original, down to the product descriptions. She also maintains the on-site blog adding new content weekly.

Am I missing something?

If anyone can think of something, please let me know.

Thanks again for the input. I really appreciate it.
