First I live here in the states.  I’m not in Nigeria trying to get your bank account number to transfer the millions that my dead father left me.  LOL.

 

HERE’S THE DEAL:   I am absolutely bored with the adult videos my fiancé and I watch.  BORED!!

 

So I`ve got a great idea and I`m looking for investors to start my own adult film production company.  Part of the plan is to produce films and not to depend on other production companies.  I will give out more information to interested parties.

 

My plan is to raise $50,000.00 to get the business started.  So I`m selling shares in the company.  The plan is to sell 50 shares of the company at obviously a $1,000.00 each.  So one person or fifty people.  It doesn`t matter to me. 

 

I hope that within one year to buy back your shares (at face value of $1000.00 for each  share plus 8% interest) and be self sufficient.  But please, do not use the rent money or grocery money.  You can never tell with something like this.  But I really think I’ve got some very good ideas and that this can be successful and a lot of fun!!

So your plan is to start this business without putting up any capital of your own? Most people who want to invest their money with someone who has no real personal stake in the investment are more likely to play the stock market, not invest in porn. Harsh, maybe, but reality is, its going to be difficult at best to get investors, nearly impossible if you are giving the impression that you are not going to put up any capital yourself.

Anyone can do whatever they want. I`ve designed a few web sites for the porn industry.. As a favor to a friend of mine.. she is well known.. But come on... IF that is the case? why don`t you start making Scrap books for the porn industry... put a few cut-out of ...%$^& and a little adult toys dangling from your books and see how your reputation goes down faster than it took you to establish your business. (YOU MIGHT MAKE IT OR MAY NOT)
For the most part, I wouldn`t want to be known to work in the Industry.
If he wants references I`ll give him references and how to get started, but thats as far as my help would go... So its not that we are PG... We are keeping it at a professional level and not raunchy...

Georgia boy, I`m afraid you might need to work on your business presentation some.  I know I am not an expert, but these are just my first reactions to your post.

 

First of all, I will agree you and your fiancee, most porn available now really sucks.  But you gave us absolutely not idea of what you are going to do to change this.  What is your unique selling position?  I believe the future of the adult industry lies in making more female friendly/couple friendly videos.  Most of the videos made now are "repulsive" to over half of the population.  Whenever someone figures out how to get into this market and dominate they will be very wealthy indeed.

 

Next is your return on investment;  You offer an 8% APR return on an investment as risky as yours??? Come on man, would you invest in it?  The greater the risk, the greater the payoff has to be, and you are talking pretty damn risky considering how much Niche porn is currently available.

 

Maybe if you laid out some more details I would change my opinion, but as of now, if I had the money to invest, and was not investing in my own business, I would be putting my cash in the money market instead of your business.
