It took a firm I was working with 6 months just to get a TM for Style Like A Pro. Now I just started again on 2 patents. One of which I will have to ask for a licensing agreement, though what I will be doing with the product is by no means truly relevant as to what the patent states.
The second one I can get around by changing one item in the formulation.
One other problem that inventors may meet up with is the fact that someone may have already written about an idea in a chat room or a forum. It is then considered public knowledge with a date and time attached. Does it have any bearing on your patent application, perhaps.
